Pre-Fall TOMS Shoes

Kick off shoe season with our early fall arrivals from TOMS.  Think corduroy wedge booties, chambray botas, and fleece-lined classic slip-ons - and that's just the beginning!  Our TOMS selection is growing & looks oh-so good for fall.  (Of course, we don't expect you to wait until then to wear them!)

Look stylish, be comfortable and support a great cause.  These new arrivals are just what the (shoe) doctor ordered.

{Tell me:  What's your favorite new style?}

The Summer of Hats

It’s high summer - have you found that perfect sun hat yet?  Meet 3 of our favorite sun hats, hand-picked just for you!

The Oversized Topper
Slightly dramatic, super fashionable, and completely necessary for those long days at the beach - it’s the Fringed Open Weave Sun Hat by Hat Attack.  Choose a black weave with a khaki trim or a natural weave with a chocolate & white dot trim... (or don’t choose at all & get them both!).  The best part?  Not only will this oversized hat protect your beautiful skin, but it also can do wonders for those days when your hair has a mind of it’s own.  Take that, bad hair days!

Fun & Floppy
Effortless and casual, floppy hats help make everything a little more fun.  We’re huge fans of The San Diego Hat Company - their two floppy hats (one made of a light-colored suede and the other of chambray) are summer hat perfection.  Throw one on, and finish the look with a pair of denim cut-offs, a breezy top and a few of The ROPES bracelets.  It’s a look you’ll want to keep on repeat all summer long.

Try On: TOMS Ballet Flats

It’s no secret that TOMS shoes have a huge following - and in our stores, they continue to get more & more popular by the day!  Best of all, their wear-all-day styles are not only cute but help an awesome charity too with their one-to-one program.  We absolutely love our canvas slip-ons (and wear them all the time!), but their new ballet flats are our current obsession.  They’re the perfect cool-yet-comfy shoe... literally, you could walk miles in them.  Here’s our line-up of the best-ever ballet flats:

Canvas Ballet Flats
Available in black, ash and red - the canvas ballet flat is a sure-thing.  After all, you can never have too many flats... especially in these neutral go-with-everything colors.  At $74, it will be hard not to buy one of each color!

Printed Woven Ballet Flats
These oh-so stylish prints are a fun & easy way to incorporate print into your wardrobe this summer (and beyond).  For just $79, take your pick from a striking triangle pattern (reina), a cream & brown snow leopard print (gisele brown suede), and a colorful ikat design (gabriela).  We’re making it easy for you - leave the guess-work out of wearing prints with these adorable flats.

A Closer Look: Skif International

We are full swing into summer and are loving all the new arrivals, our daily (and sometimes twice daily) iced coffee runs & sunny lunch breaks in Tommy’s Park.  We must admit, its been a great season so far - and it promises to only get better.  Coming in August is our annual Skif Trunkshow (one of our biggest & most-anticipated events of the year!).  Just last month, Angie (Bliss’ owner) went to St. Louis to check out what’s new for the line and even hand-picked some pieces for the upcoming trunkshow.  A large box full of the best-ever sweaters arrived last week, stocking our stores with a preview of what you have to look forward to at this year’s trunkshow!

Not familiar with Skif?  We absolutely dig this company.  Here’s what they’re all about:

Skif is a small creative clothing company based in St. Louis, Missouri.  Their first big break was in 1999, when they designed over 90 sweaters for the popular science fiction film, “The Matrix.”  (Pretty awesome, huh?)  But those who know Skif will agree, there’s much more to this company than it’s “Matrix” claim to fame.

Style Crush: The Bachelorette

I’ll go ahead and say it - lately my Monday nights are centered around TV.  I’m hooked on ABC’s popular dating reality show, The Bachelorette.  Yes, I love the drama, romance & suspense - but mostly I’m loving Emily Maynard’s style.  Whether you watch the show or not, you have to agree that her wardrobe is totally swoon-worthy.  And while there has been a lot of talk about her designer dresses she wears each week to the “rose ceremonies,” it’s her Frye boots that’s gotten everyone’s attention (and rightfully so!).

Emily proves that boots aren’t just a fall staple; they’re a year-round accessory that can pull your entire look together (something we firmly believe in here at Bliss!).  Emily’s favorite boot?  The Carson Lug Riding boot by Frye - she’s worn them several times on the show.  Lucky for you, it’s one of our favorites too!

Talk about style inspiration - Emily rocks the dark brown Carson Lug Riding boot with just about anything.  Denim shorts & a striped tee, sequin shorts & a blazer, and even a cream-colored sundress from this past week’s episode.  The good news is we have the highly-sought after Carson Lug Riding boot in both dark brown and black, along with a large selection of summer dresses and the best-ever denim shorts (which are 30% OFF right now!).  Steal her look - and her go-to boots!

{Tell me:  Would you wear your Frye boots with shorts?  Or a dress?}
